Enter emplode password
You have the option to specify a password for your Rio Advanced Digital Audio
Center, to prevent any unauthorized access from a computer using the emplode
software. We recommend setting a password especially if the unit is connected to
the Internet full time (via a broadband connection). If you are not going to copy
music from your PC to your Rio Advanced Digital Audio Center, then an emplode
password is not necessary.
NOTE: In order for your PC and the Rio Advanced Digital Audio
Center to communicate over an Ethernet or HomePNA
network, the ‘Allow emplode to connect over network’ box
must be selected on the Enter emplode password screen.
1. Press Menu to display the Main Menu screen.
2. Press Down on the Navigation Button to highlight Setup Menu.
3. Press Select on the Navigation Button to display the Setup Menu screen.
4. Press Down on the Navigation Button to highlight Enter emplode
Password.
5. Press Select on the Navigation Button to display the Enter emplode
Password screen. The Allow emplode to connect over network box
must be marked for your Rio Advanced Digital Audio Center and your PC to
talk to one another via an Ethernet or HomePNA network.
6. To enter a password, press Next on the Navigation Button until a cursor
appears in the Password field and a highlighted Abc... appears to the far
right.
